Where do sponsored products appear?
Sponsored Products can appear in several ad placements across the site (especially in the search result pages and category pages) to help shoppers discover your products.
These placements may change from time to time as we are constantly making changes to the design and trying to optimize it.
Where and how the shoppers see my ads?
Based on the products that you are promoting we match their keywords automatically to the search terms that shoppers are searching for.
When a shopper searches using words or terms relevant to your products, your ads can appear along with the other products in the search results or in the category page.
Where are shoppers taken to when they click on my ads?
When shoppers click on your ad, they are redirected to your product page.
Why is it called native advertising?
The sponsored product ads are native promotions to your products. They don’t really look like an ad.
They look just like all the other products in the search result page or category page (with a small remark that they are sponsored) and therefor the shoppers treat them just like any other product and not like an ad.
Why is it called performance based?
Sponsored product ads are performance based – meaning that you don’t pay for impressions of the promotions – You only pay when a shopper actually clicks them and enter your product page.
If your product is promoted a million times but no one clicks it - you don’t pay anything.
